Act I - Introduction
Dakarday Umberweek Weegassa in the 48th Annum Independencia - Day 146
It is the week after you received your presents from Klaus on Life day. Your lives on Algail as it streaks along through the Grinder have fallen into a steady routine of Khalid yelling, Shroktath yelling, Coalman not yelling and the Goblins yelling at him. The strange thing that had occurred was that Shroktath had made a black iron fire cave in the centerhold where Uncle died. He would wield fire and sometimes Charlotte was brave enough to help him. However, when Basile and Brendon would do alchemy there, it was too scary even for the most curious of goblins to watch. You were dreading the typical boring parade after Life Day. Khalid said his typical blah, blah, blah and you waited for your weekly silver. The real fun occurred when Shroktath bought out all the shinnies that he had made in his forge. As a horde commando, you had heard of orcs and knolls getting awards like the “bloody fist” and “broken skull” but these were way cooler. The creepiest thing though was Shilynn was walking around in that Clockwork body. Khalid also said something about Coalman being a koorpuuhral and then gave him gold hook things that he started wearing on his shoulder but it did not seem like a big deal...
After the parade everyone scuttled off to some business to get out of your duties and chores. Alexis met up with Shroktath when she noticed him noticing her and her come-ons were not so subtle. Connor met up with Basile to ask why Connor was watching Shannon One so sneakily. Meanwhile, Shannon One made her way to the helmroom to complain to Luckums about how ugly the new wall painting was.
On deck, Corporal Coalman was talking to Sergeant Khalid about the state of ships duties. Khalid is summoned away by Havelock and Coalman returns to his rounds. A few minutes later, Khalid starts yelling at Shroktath and Coalman and they start yelling at the goblins. Luckums and Shilynn skulk up to the Helm and Basile just sits on the gangplank staring at everyone. Everyone gets on board the Inordinate Amount. Apparently the old Gnome thinks that up ahead there are signs of life on some asteroid rock thingee and there should not be. That sounds like fun since this crew seems really good at making live things into dead things, usually with fire too! Khalid called it Asteroid B, whatever that means.

Act II - The Tunnels of Asteroid B
Donning the air-breathing masks you found in the storage room, you managed to use debris and broken equipment to wedge a hole in the wall that gets you out of the storage room. It is a tight fit for Coalman but you all leave the ship and enter the rocky caves of Asteroid B. The ground is damp and cold and you are certain that there is not enough air here for you to breathe. These masks will only last you two hours but Coalman is confident that if you wait here, you will be found by the rest of the crew. Suddenly, you see a rainbow coloured gas leaking at the edge of where the ship meets the rock of the cave. An explosion rips through the cave and it collapses on the shipward side. Covered in the rainbow ash of a phlogiston explosion, you are confident that you can find a way to the surface to find your ship through the maze ahead of you.

After emerging from the maze you were a bit tattered but still alive. You noted that your air was running low but you still had time if you could find a way out and hustle along. You came into a circular chamber approximately 30 by 50 feet wide that you thought was shaped by a mixture of acid and earthquakes but the time for any changes was long past. You were struck by a sense of age in this room; nothing has moved in there for centuries. You did not see an obvious exit but did see four piles to the back of the chamber covered in crystalline asteroid dust almost like white sand that had accumulated there for centuries. You had a sense of no threat or risk in that room.
Once you had come within 10 feet of the piles you immediately understood these were the remains of goblins long dead. It was clear that they had died of a mixture of battle wounds and asphyxiation. They must have been adventurers of some skill and note based on their equipment. They were true goblins though based on the cool stuff they had. The book that Coalman found was a rare treasure from the Un-Elven War.
Act III - The Ball Drops
The secret door out of the last chamber led you through a small tunnel that even the goblins must took on their hands and knees. You emerged into a vast circular chamber, perhaps 100’ in diameter like a giant bubble in the stone. It was filled with stalactites and stalagmites of awesome and grotesque shapes. There was a rough platform on the far end that had a rough path leading halfway up to the ceiling. Beyond that you could see the open sky of wildspace: the way to the surface! That hole was created by a stalagmite piercing the ceiling and bore a huge red crystalline sphere that pulsed with dread.

You saw a tall creature as grey as the rock of the asteroid standing on the platform: Gamalmadurtimi.

Act IV- The Night of the New Year: Gamlarskvold
While the cannon blast was still echoing through the chamber, the creature once known as Old Man Time had transformed into a youthful elven warrior and raced away into the far reaches of wildspace above.

Moraday Umberweek Weegassa in the 48th Annum Independencia - Gamlarskvold
We were successful in rescuing our four missing crew members that had been trapped in and then subsequently escaped from the Secondary Storage Room. Newly promoted Corporal Coalman had acquitted himself well again by taking them outside the ship when efforts to open the storage room door were both fruitless and would have been dangerous to the broader condition of the ship. By Coalman's account, his foursome had faced a cursed and vicious monstrosity and its four minions but only suffered casualties of one wounded. Crewman Conner will make a full recovery. The readings from Asteroid B appear to have stopped after the strange bolt of light that led us to our comrades. It would seem that this "Gamalmadurtimi" was the source and I hope we will learn more of its origins by studying the book they recovered apparently dating from the Un-Elven War. While these four seem to have recovered some items of value, their goblin trinkets have caused quite a stir. I am however more focused on the cannon they recovered and am discussing with Guardsman Shroktath where it can be installed on our ship.
Morale: Traditionally in the Sunterran army, Newyear is a major event for drinking and rest. It seems more appropriate for us to rest and feast on this day of Gamlarskvold and simply acknowledge in the log that upcoming Sularday is Newyear Day without any particular fanfare.
Final note: Ship's condition appears to be satisfactory in spite of the phlogiston explosion that downed us and the subsequent impact. Repairs will be complete within the day and ship's operations appear to have returned to pre-explosion condition.
